Moving a player to another table

Fix a mis-seated table mid-round without re-pairing or dropping anybody.

When to use it

Somebody sat down at the wrong table and the round has started. Move them. The round is not re-paired and nobody else is disturbed.

Do not drop and re-add them instead. That records a withdrawal and a fresh entry, which is not what happened, and it is what their record will say a season later.

What it will not do

A table that has already reported is sealed, in both directions. Reset its result first, then move them.

It will not leave a table outside the size the ruleset allows — at Commander that means never fewer than three and never more than five. If the move would, it says so rather than doing it.

Both tables have to be in the same round. Moving somebody between rounds is not a reseat; it is a re-pair.

Authority

Moving a player edits a pairing, so it needs the device holding authority — online or off. Every move records who made it and both tables.
